Rules of Requesting

  • Please send requests through my dms or via my curiouscat

  • Any ships submitted must: have two or more women* and be comprised of fictional characters

  • It will speed up the process and make me more likely to post your request sooner if you include ship photos w/ your request. It keeps me from having to go hunting for photos for ships I know next to nothing about. AND PLEASE HAVE THESE PHOTOS BE FROM THE CANON SOURCE, NO FANART!

  • Please use the names of the individual characters involved in the ship when requesting. You can include the ship name as well but odds are that I won't actually know who the ship is comprised of unless you explicitly tell me their names.

  • I also reserve the right to reject ships that make me uncomfortable. I don’t want to do this (I’d love to post all your ships), but I do have my squicks which I’d just rather not post about. I won’t shame you for the request, I’ll just reject the request and maybe direct you to other otd accounts who can do the ship instead.

  • If you want to see what ships I've posted so far, you can check the archive by clicking the green candy heart on the previous page

* - I will also accept nonbinary lesbians and characters headcanoned as trans fem despite not canonically being so (ex: Chihiro Fujisaki, Astolfo, Saika Totsuka, etc). This is also irregardless to my own personal character perceptions/hcs so don't worry about me rejecting the request if I personally don't share the hc. For more elaboration on rules regarding nonbinary characters, click the yellow heart below

Have a question? Click the yellow heart and see if I answer it there:

Clarifying Rules
(aka stuff you probably don't need to read but can be helpful if you have a question or concern about your submission)

  • What’s Femslash?: Femslash is a term that stems from the term Slash Fiction. Slash was originally used in the Star Trek fandom to differentiate Kirk/Spock from Kirk&Spock (the “/“ designating the relationship as romantic as opposed to the “&” which would be used for friendship). Eventually slash fiction spread outside the trek fandom as a term for all gay (usually mlm) ships. Femslash is the equivalent for specifically wlw shipping, though more modern interpretations of that term may also include nonbinary lesbians and other similar identities. I personally see the term as an encompassing term of wlw, nblw, and some other queer ships that aren’t mlm.

  • About Submission Status: If submissions are marked as closed (status can be found in my bio), don't send in a request or it will be deleted. I'll usually close my dms and my inbox, but in case I forget.

  • About NSFW: Please don't submit sources that are entirely hentai/porn. I will, however, accept submissions that contain nsfw as long as it's not the entirety/majority of the work. If the source contains nsfw, let me know so I can rightfully tag it as such. Any pictures I post of the ship will not be nsfw or visually imply it, the tag is just to keep people from blindly looking up the source and getting suprised by porn while reading/watching.

  • About Possible Ship Restrictions: I have no restrictions on what sorts of ships you can submit as long as they fulfill the criteria listed on the previous page.

  • About OCs: OC ships are allowed as long as they're your OCs. If it's a ship between your OC and someone else's, you have to also send me a screenshot of them agreeing to be featured. I'd prefer for the art to be your own, but I'll accept art that isn't your's if you give me the artist's twitter @.

  • About Conflicting Ships: If you've seen me post a ship that either conflicts with your otp or is a polyship that excludes one or more of the members that you include in the ship, don't worry. Previous posts have no impact on ships that I will post in the future. As long as I haven't already posted the ship you wanna request, the ship is fair game.

  • About Ships without Canon Material: If the characters in your ship rarely interact (or don't interact at all) within the canon source, don't worry. Just send me a picture of each of the characters on their own (and any canon interactions between the characters if they exist at all). I'll post their pictures together (either edited into a singular image or two seperate images of the characters). This extends to crossover ships. Please tell me if this is the case though, since I won’t always know if certain characters don’t interact.

  • About Submitting Books (and Other Non-Illustrated Sources): I do accept books! I also accept podcasts, audio dramas, and dnd campaigns. For these, send the cover (and back cover if it's a romance-centric book). You're also welcome to include lines (or a gif if it's from a dnd campaign like CR or D20) from the book which are interactions between the characters being shipped. And I'll accept official art of the characters from the source if any exists. If there's fanart, then you can ask the artist for permission to include it in your submission with credit. You'll have to send me a screenshot of you getting permission as well b/c I don't want to post stolen art. It's no big deal if there's no art, quotes, or back cover either. The front cover will easily suffice. You can also submit photos from live-action adaptations if one exists for the source.

  • Why do you include enbies in FEMslash?: The term femslash traditionally applied to lesbian/sapphic relationships in fandom. As nonbinary identities weren't commonly discussed/used at the time, they tend to be left out of the binary slash and femslash categories despite often being parts of queer relationships. As labels are complex and the nonbinary umbrella has a lot of variation, it seems fair to include nonbinary lesbians as well as other nonbinary identities where appropriate.

  • You’re Still Waiting for Your Submission to be Posted: Posting wait time varies depending on the length of the queue when you submit your request. Usually, the wait is only a day or two, but sometimes it’s a bit longer. If you think there’s a chance I may have forgotten your submission, just send me a reminder via dm and I’ll lyk what the status of your request is.

  • About Retweeting Art: Every friday, I retweet art depicting wlw couples (fanart or otherwise). If you want me to retweet some of your art or art of an artist you like, comment a link to the art/artist on my “Happy friday” post that I make every friday morning or dm the link to me. (Please make sure the artist is okay w/ quote rts if you’re commenting a link directly to the art). Also, if you’re going to follow an artist I rt, make sure to check their dni if they have one. I may occasionally retweet art from accounts that are designated as “for adults” so if you’re a minor, you shouldn’t be following them. (Any art I’ll rt will be 100% sfw, but some accounts that make sfw content also make nsfw content)

  • I Retweeted Art From Someone who Believes XYZ: Is the thing they believe “internet discourse”? Does it have to do with flags, labels, or shipping discourse? Please don’t come to me telling me to unrt it, I don’t touch internet debates on this acc. Are they a terf, racist, or have other genuinely harmful beliefs? Send me a screenshot(s) of them doing/saying something that supports this and I’ll unrt their art asap.

  • You Want Your Art Unretweeted: Send me a dm and I’ll unrt it, nbd. Just make sure to send the dm from the acc that you posted the art on so I know for a fact that’s it’s yours. If I’ve rted stolen art, dm me with proof that it’s stolen and I’ll take it down and rt the original piece from your acc (if you’re comfortable with me to rting it)

  • I Didn’t Respond to You @ing Me: I probably just didn’t see it, feel free to dm me if it’s something important

If your question wasn't answered here, send it to me via DMs!

Hi! I'm Jinx, the one and only mod of Femslash Ship of the Day! I've been a femslash shipper pretty much since I've started shipping and while I don't limit myself to just femslash (I've got plenty of favorite ships that aren't sapphic), wlw ships are forever my bread and butter. I stay entirely on gimmick with the exception of occasionally replying to other gimmick accs and rting memes/art that are relevant to femslash shipping.

There are several versions of the archive! There’s an archive of all the posted ships (alphabetized by character name) in one big list, an archive divided by source medium, and an archive specifically for canon ships.THE ARCHIVE IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND NEEDS TO BE UPDATED

Full Archive

Categorized Archive

Canon Archive

I recommend the full archive or categorized archive for checking if your ship has been posted and the categorized archive or canon archive if you're looking for new shows/books/etc to start watching/reading.

Full Archive

All ships are alphabetized by name, click the entry if you'd like to see the ship's post. If the entry has a full heart (♥) next to it, it’s canon. If there’s an empty heart (♡), it’s commonly considered to be canon but either is yet to be confirmed within the source, often debated due to translation meaning, one-sided within canon, or ambiguous. Some ♡ ships will get changed to a ♥ later if the two canonically express romantic interest in each other beyond flirting later on within the series. Check out the Canon Archive if you only want to see canon ships!

These will be divided by fandom category once I've posted enough ships to the point where it's necessary

Categorized Archive

Within this version of the archive, there are 4 categories: live-action, animation and comics (both anime/manga and cartoons/comics), and other (books, podcasts, puppetry, etc). If something is an adaptation, check the category for the original version.

Canon Archive

This version of the archive is specifically dedicated to ships with some sort of canon backing. This does not mean any of these ships are endgame within their source or even officially get together within canon. Just ships where characters kiss, crush, and/or ask each other out. A full heart (♥) means the ship has canon reciprocated romance whereas an empty heart (♡) means the romance elements are there but they’re ambiguous, not confirmed within the source (or its side materials), still in-progress of developing, and/or one-sided. A black star (⭑) means the ship is the focus of the source or at least one of the characters in the ship is a main character within the source. An empty star (✩) means the source doesn't focus on the characters and that the ship is in the background or only makes a brief appearance.

Before You Follow

I follow back gimmick accounts who follow me and follow other gimmick accounts I find (not just OTD accs but non-OTDs I follow are usually relevant to sapphics in one way or another). Other than that, I don’t follow anyone on this acc, sorry.I don't have a dni b/c I personally think gimmick accounts should try to stay separate from discourse. No shade if you post discourse stuff as an otd acc, that's just how I choose to run mine. But just know I probably won't follow back (or continue to follow) if you're an otd account that actively posts/rts hate/callouts for online discourse. (Online discourse meaning ship discourse, label discourse, flag discourse, or other weird arguments that only exist in online spaces). And you should also know that I don't like you if you're a terf, racist, homophobic, transphobic, MAP/NOMAP, or have other similar beliefs (and obviously won't follow back). Same goes for if you tell people to "kys," threaten violence, or think saying stuff like that is okay. I rarely block, but if you do any of the above on my posts, your reply will be hidden and you will be blockedTl;dr: Just be nice and respectful to others.

Live-Action Archive

For all the previously posted live-action sources. Movies are marked with an empty sparkle (✧) and tv shows and webshows are marked with a black sparkle (✦). Entries marked with a full heart (♥) are canon and entries marked with an empty heart (♡) are ambiguous or don't go anywhere.

Animation and Comics/Manga Archive

For all the previously posted ships from anime, cartoons, manga, manwha, and other drawn sources. Movies are marked with an empty diamond (◇), tv shows and webshows are marked with a black diamond (◆), and comics/manga are marked with a filled diamond (◈). For manga that were adapted to anime and cartoons with supplemental comics, they'll have both a ◈ and a ◆. Entries marked with a full heart (♥) are canon, entries marked with an empty heart (♡) are ambiguous but usually interpreted as canon or are one-sided.

Videogame Archive

For all the previously posted ships from videogame sources. Entries marked with a full heart (♥) are canon, entries marked with an empty heart (♡) are ambiguous but usually interpreted as canon or are one-sided. Any ship with an asterix (✱) next to it is canon in some timelines only (usually based on player choice).

Other Sources Archive

For all the previously posted ships from sources that don't fit in the previous four categories such as books, podcasts/audio dramas, dnd campaigns, etc. Each source is labeled for convenience
